One of the poker basics that one should learn is to play the logics rather than just playing with the fear that the opponent might peg your conservative plays.  Those that are new to poker with just an understanding of poker basics fear that they might not win enough hands to offset their overhead.

The psychology of poker basics lies in that most from the winnings in poker comes from the player that is not able to tolerate the thought of playing just limited action with selective hands.  When this part of the psychology is eradicated by any poker player, they will be sensible enough to stop fearing about the peg charged on conservative playing; however, conservative you play, if you play with logics you will have your own quota of winnings.

The simplest of poker basics is to not raise if you are willing to keep enough number of players betting in the initial rounds.  In the best of your hands, better do nothing more than a call because if you do call most players that are behind you will likely drop. Stop minding if someone else is terribly rising, but be sure to probably compare if they might be better than you.
